skatolo (little box in Esperanto) is a small sideboard developed for Vandoma Design.

The goal was to develop a multipurpose piece of furniture for storage magazines, small books or electronic stuff like chargers, a DVD player and a tv box. For that it was created a "secret gate" so all the cables could pass from the interior of skatolo to the outside without interfere with its appearance.

Inspired on the North American Snap On tool boxes and the Villa Savoye from Le Corbusier, where functionalism and straight lines are the key, skatolo keeps it simple and functional too.

Produced in beech with details in Brazilian rosewood on the handles and white paint on the feet.
